Excuse me.....

...... but I think you'll find that this is my tummy.......

Max patiently tries to train the humans in the skillful art of tummy tickling!

.....and it's available for tickling IF it's not too much trouble!!

He ain't heavy - he's my brother!

JD and Max assume their usual snoozing position - my boys get on so well together, they're schnauzers who love to snuggle!

Max - Oooh, you're everso comfy JD, best pillow ever!

JD - *Sigh!* Well, at least you're light little bro'!

Max - And thanks to everyone who left me nice wishes about my eye - as you can see I'm all better now!

How to relax during the Winter.....!

JD - We've been told that the snow is due to last until well into next week - yayyy!

Max - We've really been enjoying it - as you could see from our last post! We seem to be getting daily snowfalls here - it's unprecedented in this part of the UK!

JD - But having so much snow-fun is quite exhausting! So we've had to make sure that we schedule in enough snooze breaks!

Max - Indeed! So in between playing hard in the snow outside we've also made sure we've been doing plenty of this....

Dreaming of snow doggies.....

JD - .... and this...
. *Snuffle! Snuffle!*

Max - .... with a little bit of this....

Max - "*Yawn!* Where've you got to JD.....?"

JD - .... and just a wee bit of that....

Max - "Oh! THERE you are, snuggling against male human! Gosh you look comfy!!"

Max - .... not forgetting plenty of this....

JD perfects 'the sprawl' whilst Max snuggles up tight in a comfy corner of the sofa!

JD - .... and finishing up with plenty of this! (We dedicate this last photo for you, NSLM's Clive!! You mentioned previously that you didn't have any blankets - we think after looking at this photo you might want to put in a request - he he he! Yes - we ARE spoiled....!)

JD - (just before photo was taken....) "We're a wee bit chilly female human - do something about it will you, there's a good human!"
Max - (just after photo was taken.....) "Ahhhh - tucked in with some blankie snugness! Thanks female human - you're quite well trained now you know!!"

It's our anniversary!

JD - Today is a VERY special day! It's our anniversary with our humans!

Max - Yup - it was one year ago today that we agreed to move in with them! This is a photo of us taken on our first day home - look how TINY we were....

JD and Max knew from the off that they enjoyed snuggling on the humans!

JD - ....and this is us now - haven't we grown! Um - female human says please excuse the photo of her as it was taken just before she had a haircut - and just after she had eaten a massive cake too by the looks of it - he he he!!)

JD and Max show off how accomplished they have become at human snuggling!

Max - Our humans tell us that it's the best year they've ever had - well, naturally!

JD - We're looking forward to many more years here, sharing our adventures with all our bloggie pals!

Tummy Tickle Tuesday - Artistic Licence!

JD - I feel that Max has been hogging the 'Tummy Tickle Tuesday' of late so I thought it was about time I posted my own! Here is a photo of me, just chillin' on the sofa. BUT I have 'assumed the position' in case any humans perchance happen to wander by - a pup needs to be alert to all opportunities you know!

Max - Wise words JD!

JD - But have you noticed how artistic I am? Sure, 'the bunny' is the accepted universal pose for the tummy tickle, but I like to mix it up a little - to add a little uniqueness to the setting! You see how I am pointing theatrically at the ceiling, whilst still keeping one paw bent at a cute yet jaunty angle to ensure the humans (who - as we all know - aren't the brightest of species!) will realise exactly what is required of them!!

Max - Very stylish bro - you're raising the bar!

JD - Aw shucks, thanks Max!

Tag - you're it!!

JD - We're very excited! Earlier this week the gorgeous Honey tagged us in a game! Thank you Honey, you're the best!

Max - Yup! AND she called us cute.....*blush!*

JD - *Puffs up chest* Well Max, if you've got it, flaunt it I say.....he he he!

Max - Modest as always JD! Anyway, this game is the picture game - the rules are these:-

* Open the folder that contains Pet photos.
* Select any photo in that folder that you haven’t posted previously.
* Post that photo along with the story behind it on your blog.
* Then tag 5 friends.

JD - The trouble was - we couldn't decide which photo to post. I chose a photo....

Max - ....and then I chose a photo - and they were different photos! What were we going to do!

JD - We really couldn't decide and were getting quite grumpy with each other!

Max - But then this morning the wonderful Mr Darcy, our newest bloggie pal, also tagged us!

JD - Isn't that wonderful? Aren't Great Danes just the wisest of doggies?! Thank you Mr Darcy - you have helped to reunite brotherly Schnauzerly harmony!

Max - So, without further ado, here are our photos. Me first, me first!

Max - I love this photo of me! It's just before we both had our first grown-up Schnauzer haircut so I'm looking fluffy and cute . It was cold and wet outside but me and my brother were warm and snug inside with our humans AND we'd just been given a jumbo carrot each to chew on - yummy! But the main reason I love this photo is because of how deceptive the scale of it is. Our small doggie sofa is in the background, but I like to look at it and pretend it's one of our humans sofas and that I'm a big doggie, like Mr Darcy, Honey, Saige or Guinness! Plus, I've thoughtfully left carrot nibbles all over the floor in case our humans get peckish later - he he he!!

JD - Me next! Me next! The photo I chose has the two of us in it and is from when we were only 4 months old - I'm the one looking directly into the camera!

JD - Ooh, we were so small that we could both fit into our snug puppy bed! Only one of us can fit in it now! We're winter puppies and we came to live with our humans 5 days before Christmas Day. The winter of JD and Max (tee hee!) was a very cold winter - apparently the coldest the UK has had for many years and we hate feeling cold! The reason I love this photo is because I think this was the moment I first realised that our female human was our new 'mum' - she was the one who got us a fluffy bed to keep us snug and she always seemed to know exactly when to tuck us up with a blanket to keep us warm! She even bought us a soft beanie each (which you can just see in the front right of this photo) that she slept with the first night so that it would smell of her and therefore comfort us when she wasn't around.

Max - Hmmmm, JD - I think you chose the best photo....

JD - Aww, that's nice of you Max, but yours is a super-cool photo too! I love the idea of us being big doggies from time to time - he he he!

Max - So those are our photos! Thanks for tagging us Honey and Mr Darcy - it was great fun to play!

JD - We now tag Fatty and Ally, Sasha, Finn, Nellie and Calvert and Scottie, Hazel and Sophie as we'd love to see some more photos of you all! (It's just for fun so don't feel obliged to play if you don't want to though!)

Max - Have a great weekend everyone - and don't forget to play Camera Critters and Pet Pride - we've made some great pals through playing! Just click on the links below!

Here we are!!

JD - Hello, hello! You're reading our blog, isn't this exciting?! I'm JD - a super-cool and incredibly cute miniature schnauzer who lives in Clacton-on-Sea in England. I'm four months old now, but I'm ever such a mature puppy for my age - my human is always telling me this so I know it must be true!

Max - And me! And me!!

JD - No, you're not mature Max - you're my brother, but you're a little bit mad, that's why you're called Max. Mad Max! Mad Max! Ha ha ha!

Max - I like to woof at things! I'm really, really good at woofing at things and I'm really good at eating paper too - you can never trust paper you know, it's noisy stuff so you have to eat it to show it who's boss!

JD - Um - yes Max!

Max - I also like tummy rubs! And I like my squeaky chicken! Squeaky chicken is my absolute favourite toy - next to squeaky chop of course! We have so many fun toys! But my absolute favourite thing in the whole world is going outside for walkies! Walkies rule - yeah!

JD - Quite! But whenever we go for walkies you have to have a special bark collar on that squirts soothing citronella fragrance up your nose, don't you? I don't have to wear one because I'm SUCH a mature puppy that I would never bark inappropriately. You see, you simply don't bark inappropriately when you're as grown up and mature as I am!

Max - You mean my bling collar? Our human told me I needed a special collar so that other dogs would know I ruled the hood round here. I'm cool, I'm cool!

JD - No Max - you're just woofy! Didn't you ba
rk at a blind man the other day....

Max - Well, his white stick was scary!

JD - Hmmmm!

Max - Writing a blog is tiring - I'm snoozy, zzz
zzzzzzzzzz............

JD - Nap time - zzzzzzzzzz!
