Mirror Image Monday! And our favourite puppysitter!

JD - Hi everyone! A few days ago our pals The 'Splorin' Wolfies did a post called 'Purple Peekers' ....

Max - ....and as SOON as we saw it we knew we wanted to 'Mirror Image Monday' it! So here is our version of 'Purple Peekers'!!

JD - Don't I look handsome against the purple blooms?! Please pop over to the Wolfies page to see the original if you haven't already seen it!

Max - Psst - wanna know a secret? JD wants everyone to think that he 'takes time out to smell the flowers' but FH got this photo of him by dropping a biscuit into the middle of the flower patch - he he he!

JD - Oi! Max - you're such a tattle-tale! Please IGNORE my little brother everyone, I believe he's a bit miffed that there are no photos of HIM in this post - ha!

Max - Hey!

JD - Anyway, this next photo is NOTHING to do with 'Mirror Image Monday', I just wanted to show it off to everyone! It's a photo of me and H, our FAVOURITE puppysitter! I DO love to snuggle on H's lap! She is so wonderful - she really loves looking after us and spoils us rotten!

Max - I would like to point out that I was on duty whilst my brother was engaged in such frivolous posing. I was patrolling H's house, ensuring the perimeter was secure - I wanted to make sure H was safe 'cos I love her so much!

UPDATE:-

JD - Hi! Max was feeling a bit down about not appearing in this post so FH agreed to put this photo of both of us being fussed by N, H's grand daughter. We really DO have the BEST time when we go to visit our puppysitter and we spent the afternoon there on Saturday!

Max - Awww - thanks FH! I just worry for my audience is all, I know how my fans will fret if I don't appear in a post....he he he!

JD - Er - ahem! - if you say so Max! Anyway, we also wanted to quickly mention that we're mightily excited to hear that Miss Mayzie mentioned us in her last post AND she called us handsome and clever *blush!*

Max - Gosh, Miss Mayzie thinks we're handsome! We're beside ourselves! You see, we were so impressed at the contest that Miss Mayzie is running that we asked our FH if she could match Miss Mayzie's donation and give to Dog's Trust here in the UK, as we wanted rescue doggies over here to benefit from her contest too.

JD - We did this because Miss Mayzie has made SUCH an impact on us. We see how far she's come since finding her fabulous furever home....

Max - ....and what a sweet, pretty, trusting and loving girl she is....

JD - ....and how awful this BS nonsense is. (We have the same sort of thing over here with the 'dangerous dog' legislation, it's ridiculous, it really should be the 'dangerous owner' legislation - so THERE!)

Max - ANYWAY - Miss Mayzie has made such an impression on us and on our FH that we wanted to help doggies over here the same way that Miss Mayzie and her family are helping doggies over THERE!

JD - So you see - it's simply 'the magic of Miss Mayzie'! It's touched us - and we bet it's touched you all too! Miss Mayzie - we think you're fab!!

Max - Hear hear! Oh - and if you haven't already entered her contest what are you waiting for?! Please click here to enter.....!

Mirror Image Monday (by the skin of our teeth!)

Max - We haven't 'mirror-imaged' in a while so I thought I'd give it a go again, with a little bit of a twist!

Max - "When you're this handsome it's only right and fitting that you pause and admire the way you look....!"

Max - We've had a little trouble with our Internet again today so we only just managed to get our mirror image Monday posted in time! He's another photo of me being extremely handsome.....

Max - "Puddle, puddle on the ground - who is the most handsome hound?!"

JD - Ahem - whilst my rather big-headed little brother is busy admiring his reflection I decided to do an arty and atmospheric post for Mirror Image Monday - what do you think....

JD - "I'm right behind you Max - it's good to cool the old paws off isn't it?!"

JD - Sunset over Clacton pier - me and my bro' had had an excellent romp on the beach and in this shot we were winding our way home, tired and happy - perfect end to a perfect day!

Mirror-Image Monday!

JD - Hi everyone - we haven't 'Mirror Image Monday'-ed for ages so we thought it would be nice to get back to it.

Max - We usually compare ourselves with other doggies but for 'one day only' (he he he!) we wanted to show you some photos of us mirroring each other instead....

Photo 1 - Schnauzer foot-warmers!

Photo 2 - back to back!

Photo 3 - put your heads together!

Photo 4 - we're two Schnauzers - with a mere two ears between us, it would appear, he he he! We're very close brothers....!

Photo 5 - The perfect 'V' formation!

Photo 6 - an advanced mirror image maneouvre - dual-layering - sofa so good, he he he!

JD - Whilst we're on the subject of mirroring we would like to point out that we DO have one major difference between the two of us and that is - I can't seem to stop growing, he he he!

Max - Lot's of our pals think I'm rather short for a Schnauzer - humph! I'm actually rather tall! Miniature Schnauzers are typically 14 to 16 inches high and I'm 16 inches tall - oh yeah!

JD - But I'm still trying to fulfill my dream of becoming a Giant Schnauzer and I'm now a towering 18.5 inches tall - get IN!

Max - Female human measured us the other day becuase when she was scratching JD behind the ears whilst we were all out on a walk....

JD - Mmmm, it was nice!

Max - ...er, quite JD! But female human suddenly realised that she hadn't needed to bend down to do this, so realised that JD had grown YET AGAIN!!

JD - Indeed! As you can see from the photo below I have spectacularly long legs compared to you - ha!

Max - So we throw the 'mirror image Monday' challenge out to other tall Schnauzers out there! Please let us know how tall you are - are any of you as tall - or taller (gasp!) - than my 'big bro' JD'?! We'd love to know!

Mirror Image Monday!

JD - We've been aware for a little while that we look a bit like Norwood.

Max - The eyebrows! The handsomeness!

JD - So when our humans finally got us some snazzy bandannas....

Max - ....we wanted to boast about this similarity to EVERYONE!!

JD - How do I look? Can I carry off the green look?

JD shows how he was inspired by mother nature to choose a green bandanna!!

Max - I stayed with red - it's simply me. To me it says 'alpha doggie' and I like that statement!

The boys try out their best 'catalogue' pose! Sniff that brick Max! Stare into the distance JD! He he he!

JD - Yeah, whatever Max!

Max - Hey - I like my last photo the best!

JD- But Max, you can't see your bandanna in it....

Max - I know - but I think my expression is pure 'Norwood!' The eyebrows, the smile, the cute pose!

Max - "Hi - I'm Norwood! He he he!"

JD - He he he, yup, it sure is!
Also playing today:-
Fatty and Ally - lovely sleeping poses girls! Our blog header photo and the photo on the top right of our blog comes a bit close, but we could never look as pretty!!
Santa - gorgeous bandanna Santa. Pink is most definitely your colour - you look lovely and we really like the bunny eared knot to keep it in place - stylin'!!

Mirror Image Monday!

JD - We haven't played this game for a while but Fatty and Ally have been keeping the tradition going so we thought we'd get back to it.

Max - He he he! Today's Mirror Image Monday is an easy one really - it's when JD snarfled some cottage cheese...

JD - Oooh - it was yummy!

Max - ....and then you looked uncannily like the gorgeous Sasha when she enjoyed the same savoury snack recently - he he he!

JD - Sasha is MUCH prettier though!

Max - Well, I can't disagree with you there bro......!

Mirror Image Monday!

JD - Hello! Welcome to mirror-image Monday!

Max - About a week ago I noticed that I have the same sleeping style as the super-cute Yuna....
Max - ....the old 'one leg in - one leg out' snooze position is often overlooked for its comfort factor, but trust us, it's super-comfy!

Mirror-image Monday!

JD - Hi everyone! Today's Mirror-image Monday is an easy one really....

Max - ....well, it would have to be if it's being demonstrated by you JD, he he he!

JD - Hey! Anyway, it's all about optimum comfort whilst sleeping, a subject close to the heart of all doggies and kitties

Max - So here it is - JD getting down to snoozeville - just like the gorgeous Sophie and the sweet Luna (number 6 in Luna's post)....

JD - Ah yes! Us doggies and kitties surely know a comfy snooze position!

UPDATE!!!

Max - Oooh - we're very excited! Sweet Santa has played today too - check out her super-comfy snooze position here!!!

JD - And now cute Stephy has joined in too - thanks ladies, great pictures!!

Mirror-image Monday!

JD - Hi everyone! We're quite excited because we've decided to start playing a little blog game - please join in if you'd like!

Max - It's just for fun, but we also hope that along the way it might introduce you to s
ome great blogs.

JD - We started thinking about this a few weeks ago when we posted 'Brought to you by the letter M!'....

Max - .... - which was in honour of a previous post of the wonderful 'Splorin' Wolfies. Since then we've been noticing that some of the great blog posts have photos that show doggies in similar poses to us...

JD - ....so the basis of our game is to see how many great doggies (or cool cats!) we can look like!

Max - Every Monday - for Mirror-image Monday! - we're going to post a photo of us doing the same sort of thing as another doggie (or cat) and we'll provide a link to their blog and the specific post for you to all go over and have a look at.

JD - We thought it would be fun for everyone to realise how similar
some of us pets can all be at times, no matter what breed we are or how large or small we may be.

Max - Please feel free to play along if you want! It could be a fun way of introducing great blogs to others. We're doing it to honour those whom we greatly admire.

JD - So, for today's post we're going to show a photo of me doing a spot of yoga....

JD practises the 'upside-down-dog' yoga position - being a
beginner at yoga he sometimes needs to prop himself up on Max,
but he really enjoys his daily stretching routine.

Max - ....just like the gorgeous Honey the Great Dane as she demonstrated on her post entitled 'Simon's cat....and things I love' (yoga being item number 2!)

JD - What do you think? A miniature Schnauzer and a Great Dane - two very different doggies - both of us enjoying a spot of lovely and therapeutic stretching!

Max - We hope you enjoyed our first Mirror-image Monday!

JD - And we hope that some of you will play along with us next week! Do
let us know if you're going to and we'll try to include a link to your post on our blog!
