Alien puppy!

Max - Look into my eyes....

Max - ....can't see it? Well - look closer!

Max - Mwahahahaha! I see this as proof that - like my hero and larger-lookie-likie Groucho - I am part-alien!

JD - *SCREAM!* ....er, did I create enough of an atmosphere for you Max?

Max - You were brilliant JD, he he he! Anyway, the REAL reason that I am currently sporting one ghoulishly green eye is down to my butch, manly and macho ways.

JD - Yeah, sure Max, whatever helps you sleep at night....!

Max - You remember our wrestlemania post? Well, the other morning on the beach myself and JD got a bit over excited during a particularly thrilling game of bitey-face near the rocks and I - erm - got flung against one of them. It didn't even break my stride and I simply leapt back for more....

JD - ....sorry 'bout that bro'! Um, I sometimes forget how extraordinarily tall and strong I am!

Max - Erm - quite! Anyway, the result was a busted blood-vessel in my left eye which only became noticeable during the afternoon. Poor MH rushed me to the vet in a mad panic the second he noticed. Because my eye looked so gruesome at the time they weren't sure if it was infected so I had to have some extremely painful injections - it's a good job I am so butch, manly and macho otherwise I would have screamed even louder than I did! FH took me to the vets again this morning and as the swelling had completely gone away they were able to put some dye into my eye to check it out. I felt quite miffed to be told it was 'only' a burst blood vessel as I was hoping to milk it for as long as I could - the amount of fussing I got last night was unprecedented! Anyway, this is why I'm looking part-alien - I confess I rather like it!

JD - I've been looking after my little bro' as best I can. Playing with the special stuffie balls that Aunty Diana made for us seems to make him happy, they're just right size for our schnauzer mouths so I've let him play with them without taking them off him!

Just a puppy, hanging with his special stuffie!

Max - I'm hoping to make contact with Groucho aboard the mother-ship before the day is out - he he he!

Find out what all the critters are up to at....

Wrestlemania!

JD - Hi everyone - do you remember our good pal Amy?

Max - Here she is posing with Clive - you can see us in the background having a chat with one of Amy's owners, he he he!

Amy smiles for the camera - isn't she pretty? She's just turned one!

JD - Not only is Amy a very beautiful girl, she's also one of our best friends!

Max - Amy is such fun to play with as she REALLY enjoys a good, rough game of wrestle, chase and bitey face!

JD - We love Amy - and she loves us! Whenever we become aware that the other is around - even if we're at opposite ends of nature reserve - we just run and RUN until we all meet up!

Max - Female human says it's like something from a corny love movie, as the three of us go rushing towards the other, he he he!

JD - We're always looking around for her whenever we're on our walk! So, as we love Amy so much we wanted to show you some photos of us playing - we play HARD and we play ROUGH so it's not for the feint-hearted - we hope you enjoy!

Amy and JD start off gently - Amy flips over for a gentle ankle nibble whilst JD just watches and waits...

.....seeing his chance JD moves in to sit on Amy's head!

He quickly follows this by flipping her over onto her back and holding her down for the count of three - and the crowd goes wild!

Abby nibbles JD's tail and he moves on to nibble her back ankle - Max leaps round the perimeter shouting encouragement to his brother (Max loves to bounce around the sidelines and gets very excited - you can see his ears flying in this photo!)

JD senses an opening and holds Amy in another touchdown!

Amy pretends to hug JD, all the while getting ready to flip him off her!

On her feet again JD is now the one at a disadvantage - Max continues to cheer from the sidelines!

Max proved to be a good distraction, allowing JD to flip Amy on her back once more!

As Amy is on her back again Max finally decides he can venture in for a one-on-one wrestle all by himself!

JD can't hold back and moves in for some more paw-sonal contact! Amy tries the old 'bear hug' manoeuvre as she and JD enjoy a some spectacular bitey face!

Wrestling and bitey-face excitement over for the days JD and Amy are tired and happy! (Max is off-shot having another chat with Amy's owners - they're two of his favourite people in the whole world!)

Max - Although we're doggies of the smaller breed....

JD - Speak for yourself bro'!

Max - *Rolls eyes!* ....um, of course, except you JD, you're practically a giant breed! Anyway, even though we're doggies of the smaller breed we're nevertheless very confident and we do love to play!

JD - A lot of people who own bigger doggies really worry about their doggies playing with smaller doggies. But if the doggies in question are confident and balanced we can all have a great time! Amy's owners know this, so we always have a WONDERFUL time whenever we meet up.

Max - FH - when are we going to play with Amy again, eh, eh, EH??!
