What becomes of the broken hearted? They have a kip, that's what!!!

Hi everyone - CJ here, owner of JD and Max, usually referred to here as 'female human' (yup, my pups are soooo fond of me!!) I apologise in advance but I've sneakily hijacked their blog today as I thought you'd all like to see the highlights of 'puppy-cam'!

'Puppy-cam' is absolutely brilliant - the best present I've ever got! As with a lot of dog owners I suffer a tremendous amount of guilt when I have to go to work, leaving my two little fellas to fend for themselves all alone in the house on their poor little lonesomes..... I was sure they were spending the entire time pining for me, from the moment I shut the door I pictured them counting the hours until I returned.....

....erm....

....ahem...well, they're obviously sleeping their way through the pain and the torment of the separation.....

....hmmmmm.....

.....I do hope, dear blog reader, that you can all keep up with such a flurry of frenzied activity......

.....it's obviously an exhausting life being a schnauzer puppy. As a mere human I couldn't possibly understand......

Well, that's it! That's my usual 'puppy-cam' view - and it's kinda nice to know they're not particularly bothered about being 'left to it' (and it's never for that long)!

Normal service will resume tomorrow when the boys regain full control of their blog....ttfn!

Share and share alike.....

Max - My humans have finally realised that I'm not getting much of a look-in on the sofa front.....

JD - Eh? Whassat Max? Zzzzzz........

Max - Sure, the sofa LOOKS comfy - but looking is about as far as I'm getting at the moment as JD IS hogging it somewhat....

JD - Keep it down Max - trying to sleep over here....

Max - So I've been practising my forlorn and dejected stance, as you can see from this puppy-cam still-shot......

Max - ....and I think it's worked! Because I've been told that another sofa has now been ordered and should be here within the next few days....

JD - Zzzzzzz....!

Fine furnishings

JD - Because we're not allowed on our human's furniture they thought it would be nice for us to have a sofa all of our own!

Max - From what I've seen of it so far it looks really comfy....

JD - Oooh, it is, it is!!

Max - Good. Um, so maybe at some point you'll let me try it out too.....?

JD - Mmmmm? Whassat you're saying from down there young Max? I'm sooo snug and comfy up here I'm having trouble staying awa........zzzzz!

Max - I have to say that I think it's a bit unfair that the humans are allowed on our furniture though - doesn't seem right when we can't go on theirs.

JD - Oh, I dunno! The snuggle below WAS rather delicious.....zzzzzz!

Max - Humph! I think I'm going to have to request my OWN sofa at this rate!

Lights! Camera! Puppy-cam....!

JD - We've had such a busy few days....

Max - Yeah, our paws have barely touched the ground! It's been fun though.

JD - It sure has. It all had something to do with our female human, who has just turned two hundred and eighty years old.....

Max - Good grief!

JD - She kept saying something about it being two hundred and eighty in dog years mind you.....

Max - Well, what other kind of years ARE there?

JD - Exactly Max! But she got a present from our male human that she's really excited about....

Max - You mean the 'puppy-cam'?

JD - Yup! Apparently, she can now keep an eye on us even when she's not here. So be aware of that....

Max - Crikey! I'd better try and stay out of shot if I'm ever caught short in that case.....

JD - Exactly! It must be thrilling for her though, to have on-tap Schnauzer action, twenty-four-seven....

Max - Wow! She must be exhausted just watching our high-speed goings-on.....!

Typical 'puppy-cam' still....ooh, the excitement!!!
(Comment from female human - Max and JD have stated that they are NOT impressed at my sarcasm concerning their day-long sleeping habits....!)

JD - Anyway, last Friday our two humans abandoned us to visit a place called 'the big smoke'.......

Max - ....and even though we were abandoned we were taken to this place called the 'in-laws'. I like the 'in-laws' - it's fun! They have a huge garden and we get to run around a lot.....

JD - They have a lot of sticks to chew on - it's great!!

Max - I helped with the gardening......

JD - .....and they've even got chickens! They were a bit odd though - they're not a bit like our squeaky chicken are they?

Max - Nope! They made funny clucking noises instead. I did bark at them quite sternly to try and get them to squeak, but they simply refused.

JD - .....and much, much later on we were delivered back home so that we could greet our two humans when they FINALLY came back for us. They made a big fuss of us when they got in!

Max - Quite right too! And then the next day we visited the house of a very pretty female human - I liked her SOOOO much! She kept on telling us how cute we were! She had two children.....

JD - We like children as they usually want to play with us, which is good fun! And these two children are probably my favourite out of all of them!

Max - Their house was great - we got a present! A new toy - squeaky hamburger, it's brilliant!

JD - We played outside in the garden for a bit....

Max - I tried my paw at skateboarding - it was great fun!

JD - Eventually we had to go back home, so we buckled up ready for the car journey.....

Max - I didn't want to go home - I was having too much fun!

JD - We'd enjoyed ourselves so much that we slept and slept for the whole afternoon when we got back home. I can't wait to go back and visit again!

Max - Me too!

JD - And then for the past few days our humans have spent the whole day with us which we love. Usually they go out to this place called 'work'....

Max - Mmmm - I'm suspicious of 'work'. Every time our female human comes back to see us at lunchtime - and every evening when our male human gets home first - I make sure that I sniff them both very thoroughly to make sure they haven't secretly been out seeing other dogs....

JD - I'm pretty sure they don't Max. And even if they do we must be their favourite as we're the ones they keep on coming back to.

Max - I suppose so. But today they went back to 'work' again and I missed them. I even cried when our female left us this morning and I haven't done that for a long time....

JD - Me too Max. It was hard, but we'll get used to it again.

Max - Sigh......if we must JD - if we must....!

Help me JD-One-Kanobe - you're my only hope....!

JD - So, I'm not quite sure why our humans keep on sniggering at me whenever I look up at them after a lovely long snooze on my back....

Max - (Quietly to himself...) He he he.....!

JD - And who is this 'Princess Leia' person anyway......?!

Schnauzer is as Schnauzer does.....

JD - We started the day early and saw a lovely sunrise over the North sea when we went for our morning walk.

Max - I like the beach! We ran up and down the pebbles and made sure the tide stayed back.

JD - We take our coast guard duties very seriously. Unfortunately we got a bit wet so our female human wrapped us up all warm and snug in blankets when we got back home.

Max - It was warm and snugly and we had a lovely cosy snooze for a while.

JD - Then a bit later on we went to puppy school - it was good fun!

Max - Yeah - I'm a really clever puppy! I was great at the 'say hello to all the other puppies' exercise.....

JD - Um - that was the 'come' exercise Max and you were supposed to go directly to your male human when he asked you to.

Max - Really? Was I? But why? Once the lead was off I thought that meant I could go play with all the others.....

JD - Nope!

Max - Well, I was definately the best at the 'which puppy can run the fastest' exercise.....!

JD - ...... Er, you mean the 'walk to heel' exercise.

Max - Oh......! But I was really good at the 'lie down for the yummy treat' exercise.

JD - That you were Max! But you need to realise that the yummy treat isn't always going to be there, the humans will expect you to lie down simply because they tell you to.

Max - Will they? Seriously? That's a bit daft of them don't you think?!

JD - You'll still get a pat on the head though if you give them your cute look....

Max - Well, that's okay then!

Helpful puppies!

JD - Hey, I didn't think you liked coke Max?

Max - Well, as you know I've always enjoyed extracting and chewing the empty plastic coke bottles whenever I see them in the recycling bin.....

JD - Yup! Your dedication to the environment has always impressed me!

Max - So I just thought I'd see what the bottles are like when they're full - I wasn't too impressed to be honest, they don't hav
e that satisfying crinkling sound.....

JD - I hear you!

Max - So instead I thought I'd help the humans unpack their shopping....

JD - Me too! Mmmm - those GU chocolate puds looked yumsk! And they're a double pack too, so obviously that's a chocolate cup for each of us....

Max - Great! Can't wait until our humans serve them up for us!

JD - And then I found a bag full of salmon - mmmm, it smelled so good!

Max - I heard the humans say something about salmon and scrambled eggs on toast.

JD - Oooh - that sounds tasty!

Max - Yeah! They must be thinking about making that for us for being such helpful puppies. I reckon if we hadn't been there to help them unpack their shopping it would have taken them so much longer.....

JD - Very true Max - you are wise beyond your months.....

Max - Awww - shucks!

We have the technology!

JD - Hurrah! Broadband is running again - we're back in business!

Max - But it took a while to sort so we don't really have much time to say much tonight.....

JD - So we thought we'd just leave you all with our favourite You-Tube videos instead - they'll be updated on the right of our blog, you can view them if you scroll down the navigation bar....

Max - I like the one called 'my miniature schnauzer trying to tell me something' - it made our humans laugh!

JD - Yup! That Millie is a very cute Schnauzer......

Max - But not as cute as us though!

JD - Well - obviously!!

Technology goes bust!

JD - It's been a while.....

Max - I know! Have the humans sorted out their broadband connection yet?

JD - Apparently not - sigh! So one of our humans said she'd do a quick update to our blog for us on her phone but it couldn't be a long one as it apparently takes ages like that..... But it's really not good enough is it?

Max - It's terrible! We've got so much tell everyone! About how we've had our first hair cut....

JD - And how we now go on walks every week with our neighbour and her two boxer dogs....

Max - And about how I've been a very poorly puppy but I'm all better now......

JD - And that we're off to puppy school tonight!

Max - Eh? Are we? School? Hmmm, I'm not sure I like the sound of that.....

JD - There will be lots of other puppies there Max - lots of new friends!

Max - Well, that doesn't sound too bad then, but I might have to woof at them to make sure they know I'm in charge!

JD - Um, I'm pretty sure that's why our humans are taking you there in the first place. Because you woof. A lot.... I'm pretty sure they're just taking me along so that I can show all the other puppies how to behave like a good and mature puppy! I'll be role model......

Max - Humph!

JD - But seriously - we hope to blog again soon and apologise for this unexpected break in service.....

Max - Yeah - we don't like not having a voice!

JD - Well, you certainly don't Max! You've made that abundantly clear over the past few weeks!

Max - (turning his back to JD) Humph!
