The art of sympathy

JD - Hi - thanks to everyone who left kind messages for us whilst we went under the knife, but really it was our humans who were the nervous ones, not us!

Max - Yup! 'Cos we're everso brave and are not scared of anything! And we know that MILLIONS of doggies have gone through this procedure before us.

JD - Sure, we're a little bit sore just now, but I'm enjoying sleeping off the anaesthetic....

Max - ....whilst I'm practising perfecting a killer 'how COULD you?' look.....

Max - It's going down a treat with our humans, they're wracked with guilt and we're getting LOADS of treats and cuddles as a result - ha! This pitiful look is a skill I intend to keep up my paw for MANY repeat showings throughout my life.....he he he!

Well done, boys!

I manage to manipulate my human into sleeping on the floor to keep an eye on me after my op... and they think *they* train *us*!

Puppy kisses

PS - Glad you're both ok, keep up the good work!

Whew, I'm glad everything worked out all right. It really is a good guilt trip to lay ont the humans.

You'll both bounce back in no time & feel loads better in the long run.

Hi JD & Max,

Sorry I haven't had the chance to visit for a few days - and I didn't realise you were going in for your Op!!

Really glad everything went well and you're feeling better already. I had my Op too when I was 6 months old - but us girl dogs have a bigger op than boy dogs and we have to be really still for weeks after to make sure our stitches heal up properly. Well, I was a really naughty puppy and I wouldn't rest quietly - I ran and jumped around, even though my humans were shouting at me - and I burst my stitches! Then I had to have another little Op to put them back in again - humph! So it took even longer for me to get better and I had to rest and be quiet for even longer...I was driving my humans mad! Hee! Hee!
